Utility Assistance Program
From time to time, a little help is needed to keep the lights on, keep warm in the winter or cool in the summer. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is designed to assist eligible households in meeting the rising cost of home energy. We offer assistance with the following:
Heating program covers:
- Gas / Propane
- Kerosene
- Wood
- Coal
- Power (only if totally electric)
Cooling program covers:
- Power
- Box Fans
- Air conditioner repairs (in some cases)
LIHEAP Heating Programs Begin October 2024 - End April 2025
LIHEAP Cooling Programs Begin May 2025-End September 2025
*These services are based on household income, household size, and medical conditions aggravated by extreme heat or cold (in most instances, a “medical statement” from a physician or nurse is required).*
