ABC TRUST GUIDELINES
- Applicants cannot reside in public housing, Section 8 housing, or any other type of housing in which the federal or state government pays all or a portion of the Household’s energy cost, either directly to the Household or as a second party payment, or in the form of a utility allowance.
- Funds are limited to annual assistance during a calendar year of not more than two times under the Emergency Cooling/Energy Assistance Program or a total of two times under both programs combined; nor can assistance exceed the $450 annual cap under either or both of the programs combined, no matter what the need.
- Trust funds may not be used to pay for deposits.
- Applicants 60 years of age and older do not need a Medical Statement to apply.
